Cody Gems & Jewellery Seniors Report

The game was all over by ¼ time after Oakleigh kicked 7.4 to our 3 points. We held them in the 2nd and 4th quarters but just couldn’t score. Brad Carroll had a strong debut and will only improve as he gets more games under his belt.

Miracle Autospray Reserve Report

A win for the taking was let go by the team on Saturday.

Stu Masson continued his good form. Cam was given tagging role and didn’t let his coach down. Griffo moved to defence and was effective. Matt A was effective up forward. Nick Crane played his first game for the season and picked up a heap of touches and a couple of goals.

Paving 2000 Netball Report

Our seniors lowered their colours to Bentleigh by 3 goals. D2 reversed the result by downing Bentleigh by 16. D 3& 4 had comfortable wins and D5 lost CPL.

Milestone – 200 Games Stew Gibbs

Congratulations to Stewart Gibbs on reaching the 200 game milestone.

Stew joined the club as a raw skinny recruit in 2004. 11 years and 200 games later not much has changed. Not blessed with natural talent what  Stew brings to the table it what most coaches want, a player with a big heart, courageous and a never say die attitude. Stew is a duel premiership player, entertaining to watch and a great clubman to boot. Look forward to watching many more games for the Tunna.

Milestone – 100 Games Matt Kenney

Congratulations to Matt Kenny on reaching the 100 game milestone.

Long time coming! Matt started way back in 2004 and has limped to his 100th game. A handy midfielder with good ball use his younger days.  Matt is now a veteran and like all ageing midfielders he finds himself playing on the backline.  Matt is also a duel premiership player. The club is running a book on the year he will play his 150th.

Ladies Day this Saturday is another sell out. Aside from having a great day we will be raising money for the “Stop Violence against Women” campaign.  Noeleen Ulbick (Life Member) was very passionate about this cause.  Noeleen sadly lost her battle with cancer last year. To ensure Noeleen’s passion for this cause continues we’d appreciate your support. See Matt Cragg or Shannon if you have anything to donate.
