A solid 39 point win over Springvale at home gave the team a chance to sing the club song in round 1 for the first time in several years. First quarter was tight and although we controlled the play we couldn’t score. Half time found us 17 points up with after kicking 3.1 to Springys 1.3. We could’ve buried them in the 3rd quarter but for bad kicking. 8 bloody points.  The Mat and Pat Show up forwarded did their best to keep Springy in it. Great to have Tuck’s back playing senior football. Jesse H gave us first ball in the centre. Kahill Saliba was good down back with his excellent ball use.

Big game this week when we take on Murrumbeena!

New season new players but not the result we were looking for. Our 2nd half was an improvement on the first half and we were more competitive. Beachy is inching closer to the 200 game milestone and is moving as though he could play another 100. Nice see Mong back in the black and white again. Good debut by Nathan Foster and we look forward to watching his progress during the season.
