Ominous signs early for the drastically undermanned Combine with the Tunners ramming home three majors in the first three minutes of the game. Kyle Rodwell was on fire early and brother Beau was also a headache for the opposition but for 4 quarters Lachlan MacIntosh and Stewart Gibbs were the standouts. They were simply superb. Another highlight was the impressive marking skills of Rick Sheers who booted 8 goals(a personal record for the club ), an outstanding contribution. Matt Kenny, as usual, was in everything and his 6 goals was also a personal best. The longer the game went the question was, how far the margin,  a whopping 179 points, an important percentage booster. Credit must go to the Combine players. Never at any stage did they throw in the towel. They were just too undermanned and outgunned by an accomplished team. Good win but there are still many areas on which to work and one is listening to the coaches instructions at 3/4 time break. Fabulous turnout from our past players and well done to Glen Crowe for all his work organising same and to Rob Ferguson who assisted on the day.
